The Heart Health Program is covered by OHIP and designed to improve patients’ cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Our program provides an integrated, multidisciplinary approach consisting of Cardiologists / Internists / Dieticians and Kinesiology to assist in screening patients and appropriately intervening with supervised lifestyle modification.


  • 2 or more modifiable risk factors and/or Framingham risk score > 10% (assessed by Physician)
  • Referral requisitions to the program are completed by the Family Physician. Requisitions can be found on HERE or can be made available in Family Physicians’ offices, by request.
  • All test results and program communications are sent exclusively to the Family Physician.
  • The program consists of 6 visits which are scheduled over the course of approximately one year.

Dr. Arvi Grover

Dr. Grover is Director of the Heart Health Program at KMH. With 25-years of experience in cardiology, Dr. Grover is a strong advocate of lifestyle modification for disease prevention. He is an active leader in his field and gives 40-50 lectures per year to medical students, physicians, nurses and pharmacists, as well as to the general public. Previous positions include Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services at Dynacare, Director of Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic Canada, and Director of Cardiovascular Rehabilitation at Credit Valley Hospital.
