Ensure maximum client satisfaction through a high quality service approach. Greets patients arriving for appointments, obtains information, answers questions and provides assistance or directions as appropriate.
Medical Receptionist Duties:
•Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone.
•Accurately registers patients by obtaining complete demographics, insurance information, photo ID, consent and health history.
•Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties; answering patients’ questions; maintaining the reception area.
•Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
•Collects co-pay and any past due balances and applies payment as needed.
•Maintains attention to detail for all medical records. Scans information into patient chart daily.
•Checks-out patient: Makes follow up appointment. Makes referral appointment to specialist.
•Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
•Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
•Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

40 hours per week with variable start time. May be required to work overtime evenings, and weekends according to the time schedules that meet the requirements of the facility.
